Brought my parents to the Tim's restaurant near Braddell mrt and we ordered 2 sets of steak with lobster and 1 lamb stew. Never really spend time with them for the past 2 weeks cause of exams, so after exams on sun, made french toast again for them and brought them out for lunch. It was quite expensive total bill was $60 but i m glad they enjoyed it. My mum likes the lamb alot and told me to buy back for her next time if i come here again. It was a good time spent with my parents. My dad is now more open to me and not giving me a hard time anymore. While i had a good talk with my mum, sharing with her about my plans for the next 5 years, including my plans to go missions and the reasons and destination. I told her what courses i wish to take up in the meantime and skills i wish to learn and though she was abit sad that i would be going away for at least 5 years but she was ok with it. Cause i assured her that i will still provide for her financially and that i will come back at least once a year and that if anything happen i will come back straight away and family will always be family no matter what. My mum is a person who needs alot of assurance be it emotional, security, financial and even my love for her and her importance in my life. Last time, didn't quite understand and would find my mum irritating and very attached to me but God slowly help me to see that my mum has emotional needs and as a daughter all the more i should be this channel of love, and only through such softness that she will be able to see God's love and goodness more and come to know Him eventually. I am glad for this breakthrough with my parents and hope to sustain this and build even stronger ties with them. It is important that even in the midst of being busy with school and church, never to neglect my family and relatives. If you want salvation to reach your household, we need to labour in prayer and to serve them and bring God's love evidently to them.
