Wanna share some of my thoughts abt this passage. Think I was reminded of the importance of spiritual family and support, while reading this story. How many times we are unable to remove the big stones by ourselves and how many ppl (ppl who cares, ppl who have invested time in our lives) to help us remove these stones.
But if u realised, God is the one who convicts us to remove them. These sins and distractions that we have built around us (separating us from both God and man) are really detrimental to our lives, often leaving us feeling empty and vulnerable. While God convicts, on our part it is our responsibility to respond and to act upon what God has convicted in our hearts ---- and that is to remove these stones. If we cannot remove them by ourselves, lets acceptthe help of others!!! A family is here to support.
i thank God for knowing my needs. I really cant survive or walk with God victoriously without u guys manz :)
Another part that struck me strongly is how God uses people to transform the lives of others. Be it throwing a flower, waiting beside a wall, grasping a hand or going into the person's wall to talk to them.... u never know when these actions will touch someone's life :) It can be so small and insignificant (like throwing a flower over a wall), but it is through these many small ways that someone's life is touched.
Also, we are channels that are used by God!!! While God can plant flowers around, God needs his children to throw them over the wall and God needs us to extend our hand to these lost ppl who desperately need some form of comfort :)
I am really encouraged and touched by this story. I pray that we will not just take this as an interesting article but really chew on this and let this be a reminder and encoragement to us as we walk on together (hand-in-hand) towards the goal!!! Amen!!
